A delegation from the Tashkent City Administration is on a working visit to the capitals of Finland and Estonia from May 18 to 22 to study advanced practices in the fields of education, youth policy, and social protection.
📍 On the first day of the visit, which began in Helsinki, the delegation familiarized itself with the activities of the Meri Kindergarten and Vattuniemi Primary School.
🏆 The meetings were attended by Sean Haff, Deputy Mayor of Helsinki for Education, Juliana Kentala, Special Advisor to the Mayor, as well as the heads of educational institutions Katariina Laakso and Sanna Soini.
🧠 During the dialogue, presentations were held on the system of making political decisions in the field of social development in Helsinki, setting financial priorities, and the model of preschool and school education.
📈 In the second half of the day, presentations were organized on the strategic development directions of Helsinki, particularly the priority tasks for 2025–2029. These presentations were delivered by Markus Kyun, Chief Strategy Director of the Helsinki City Strategy Department, and Laura Uuttu-Deshriver, Head of the International Relations Department.
🧑💻 The working visit is ongoing. Until May 22, the delegation will continue studying practical experiences in the fields of education, youth policy, and social protection in Finland and Estonia, and will hold discussions on effective approaches that can be applied in Tashkent.
